पढ़े लिखे को फ़ारसी क्या…!

शर्म नही आती इन राजनेताओं को अपना राजनैतिक उल्लू सीधा करने में! अपनी मातृ संस्कृति – सभ्यता की बोली लगाने में! अपनी ओछी महत्वकांक्षा की पूर्ति के लिए धर्म को हथियार बनाने में! देश भक्ति के नाम अपनी ग़लत शक्ति की मनमानी करने में! वेश्यावृति करने में, और अपने पुरुषत्व पर! अरे हाँ, मैं भूल गयी थी कि इनके पास सारी संपत्ति तो है, लेकिन लज़्ज़ा की संपत्ति के मामले में कंगाल हैं! “बोया पेड़ बबुल का तो आम कहाँ से होये?” ये संपत्ति ना उधार ली जा सकती है, ना ही दी जा सकती है. इसे तो अपने बुद्धि – विवेक से अर्जित किया जाता है, और यही परिपक्वता है समाज़ की, राष्ट्र की, व्यक्ति की, और पूरे विश्व की!

अगर उम्र के पड़ाव को पार करने से ही परिपक्वता आती है, तो मुझे खेद है कुछ हिन्दी ब्लॉंगर्स पर जो उम्र के अवसान पर हैं, लेकिन इतना भी संज्ञान नही है कि वो अपने ब्लॉग में क्या और कैसी चीज़ों को तस्वीरों के साथ परोस रहे हैं! वो ये कैसे भूल जाते हैं कि उनकी पीढ़ियाँ भी कल उनका ब्लॉग पढ़ेंगी? कितने शर्मनाक तरीके से पोस्ट लिखे जा रहे हैं, और बहिष्कार कर रहे हैं. बहिष्कार कीजिए! शौक से कीजिए! लेकिन थोड़ा लिहाज़ करना भी ज़रूरी है! कलम में समाज को सशक्‍त बनाने की ताक़त होती है, कृपया राजनेताओं की तरह संस्कृति की बोली मत लगाइए, बल्कि युग निर्माण में सकारात्मक भागीदारी निभाएँ.

“नाच न जाने आँगन टेढ़ा!” अपने व्यक्तित्व का निर्माण तो कर नही सकते, और चले आते हैं राष्ट्र निर्माण का राग अलापने! इन्हें किसने हक़ दिया है क़ानून को अपने हाथ में लेने का? समस्या है तो समाधान भी है, लेकिन ये किसी का अधिकार नही बनता कि वो किसी पर हाथ उठाए. बंदर की तरह उछल कूद करने से अच्छा है कि एक सभ्य इंसान की तरह, सभ्यता की राह पर चलकर भी हालातों को बदला जा सकता है!

मेरी समझ से मुद्दा ये है कि समाज में कुछ ग़लत हो रहा है, और उसमें कैसे बदलाव लाना है इस पर कोई बात नही हो रही. क्या एक ग़लत कदम को रोकने के लिए फिर दूसरे ग़लत कदम का उठाया जाना ही समस्या का समाधान है? जिन्हें इस बात का आभास है कि वो समाज़ को एक नयी सकारात्मक दिशा दे सकते हैं, अगर वे समस्या के समाधान पर पहल कर सकते हैं तो मैं उनके विचारों को आमंत्रित करती हूँ!

Why can’t we chant gayatri mantra?

The story I am about to tell you is true. Actually my office time is 6:30am since I work according to Korea time. Sometimes I listen bhajan in office using my headphone. One day, one of my colleagues came to me as she had to see some documents. She asked me that “Rewa, what song you are listening right now?” She put my headphone on her ear…but suddenly, she kept the headphone on my desk. I asked her, what happend? She told me that “girls are not supposed to listen this!” She said, ”we shouldn’t chant this mantra”. She also said that in her family ladies are not allowed to chant this. I was shocked at that time.

ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्॥ – Meaning of mantra

I was listening Gayatri Mantra! Then I asked her, “who told you that we should not listen this?” She replied me saying “we girls are not allowed to listen this mantra.” She also added “only guys are allowed to chant and listen the gayatri mantra”! I asked her that could you please tell me “why girls are not allowed to chant the Gayatri Mantra?” She said, “the Gayatri Mantra has the power and it may create some problem for others! 

However, I always follow my heart and mind, so I didn’t stop listening it. She again asked me, “Didn’t anybody stop you?” I replied her, in my home since childhood we use to do pujas and chant Gayatri Mantras, and nobody stopped us. I also said that as I remembered when I was a child, “we all sisters and brothers have been taught to have breakfast only after taking bath and performing prayer (chanting gayatri mantra and surya mantra) at our home.” And I still try my best to follow the same routine. This time she was surprised!

After coming from office I discussed the same with one of my friend on chat and we reached to the conclusion “भगवान सबके लिए एक बराबर हैं, इसलिए सभी को अपनी इच्छानुसार पूजा व मंत्रोच्चारण करनी चाहिए!” By the way, anybody can chant gayatri mantra as it is considered a very powerful Mantra!

Anyway, her statement made me to think that why people even is forbidden from chanting gayatri mantra? Why can’t women chant “Gayatri Mantra or all Vaidik Mantras”?

रोते हाथ बढ़ाया!

सड़क पर खड़ा था
एक बच्चा बेसहारा
भूखा था वह शायद
जब मैने उसे पुकारा…

सहमा डरा सा
दूर से ही उसने
रोता हुआ, चुपचाप
अपना हाथ बढ़ाया…

पास जाकर देखा
उसके सीने पर लिखा था,
सारे जहाँ से अच्छा
हिन्दुस्तान हमारा!
हम बुलबुले हैं इसकी
कहाँ है गुलिसतां हमारा?

Do we need pub culture at all?

One can not defend the pub culture on the basis of equal rights! The idea of ‘rights’ and ‘equal rights’ has to be understood fundamentally. Do we need this kind of culture to ensure equality for women? Fact is, this has nothing to do with equal rights for women. How do we explain this to our kids when we don’t understand the logic of equality?

Why do people feel compelled to defend themselves against things? Why do we always blame west and western culture for everything? Why we never want to adopt their good things for the development of the nation? We need not blame western culture for everything. This is their tradition, so they are following. This we can not change, but we can make changes on our part!

I think pub culture should be banned! Everything has some limit, and you can not just close your eyes registered yourself as blind. When we say it is bad then it’s bad for all. So, it should be banned not only for girls but for all. There too need not be descrimintaion on the basis of gender!

Some believe that this economic growth will change the society. No way, I don’t know whether it’s fortunate or unfortunate but, it is yet to undergo a litmus test. Last but not the least, we must find a way to correct and handle the things in positive way!
